Have You Ever Seen The Rain
Someone told me long ago There's a calm before the storm,
I know; It's been comin' for some time.
When it's over, so they say, It'll rain a sunny day,
I know; Shinin' down like water.
[CHORUS:]
I want to know, Have you ever seen the rain?
I want to know, Have you ever seen the rain
Comin' down on a sunny day?
Yesterday, and days before, Sun is cold and rain is hard,
I know; Been that way for all my time.
'Til forever, on it goes Through the circle, fast and slow,
I know; It can't stop, I wonder.
[CHORUS]
Yeah!
[CHORUS]

I love soldiering. I ‘m craving to die in the battlefield. Luckily, I am not a war monger. Though I have been out from the army, the fighting spirit, the adrenaline rush, the leadership, the courage, the pride and honour, are still embedded inside me. The paintball, ease my enthusiasm and channel out my aggressiveness.
From numerous game of paintball, i discovered one thing within myself. My problem in close quater battle or in Counter Insurgency battle, is the urge of charging forward and get kill even though i was the leader or the strategy planner. I can't stand being pinned down. It is irresponsible to get killed and leave your men behind when you are the strategy planner. A useless soldier is a dead soldier.
being in combat defense, in heavy rain, give me the creep of being shot from behind...then it happened....i've been shot, close range, from behind...the rain, makes me passive and just want to wait...luckily...it was just a paintball game....or else....i've been in the Barzakh world...the world that i've been waiting...
And this song…the song from the war drama, ‘Nam: Tour of duty’, echoing the rain music that fall, inside my ear. It is a nostalgic and sentimental moment, for a plastic soldier like me.
